Please enjoy this podcast brought to you by Macie, Kas, Joe and myself 🙂

In our podcast, we discuss how digital platforms can support skill development, student voice, and reflection in Physical and Health Education (PHE) classrooms. We explored how tools like video replay and slow-motion analysis can help students better understand and improve their movement and physical literacy skills. We also discuss how fitness tracking apps and technology can support goal setting to allow students to see their progress over time. Other platforms we talk about include Flip and Google Classroom, where students have the opportunity to reflect on their learning and document their progression and growth. With all of this in mind, we also discuss the limitations that come with technology in the PHE classroom, including access, privacy concerns, while also considering screen time should not replace physical activity. Overall, we found that when technology is used intentionally, it can enhance engagement and deepen learning in PHE while still keeping movement at the center of the classroom!
